Maintenance to IT systems 12/28 and 12/31-1/2

Information Technologies will be performing maintenance to systems over the upcoming Winter Break.  This is traditionally a time when demand for systems is lower, reducing the risk that faculty, staff, and students will be inconvenienced by the outages/disruptions this work will cause.

Planned Outages and List of Affected Systems

The following production systems will be affected by this maintenance:

December 28th (10 am to 10 pm)

  • Banner PROD database

December 31st 11 PM (start taking systems down) and January 2nd 2013 at 5 PM

  • Banner
  • SharePoint (EagleNet)
  • SmartCall
  • Filemaker
  • Library Illiad
  • VTLS Library Catalog
  • Office Communicator

Winter Help Desk Hours

In addition to planned outages, IT Help Desk hours will be adjusted in the coming weeks, as follows.

December 17 – 20, 2012 – Intersession Hours

Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Friday, December 21, 2012 – Sunday, January 6, 2013 – Winter Break


The Help Desk will be providing very limited support for urgent needs over break.  If you have an urgent need, please leave a voicemail or send an email to detailing your urgent need and the best way to contact you.

Saturday, CLOSED

Special Hours for start of Spring Semester 2013:

Sunday, January 13 – 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM
Monday & Tuesday, January 14 & 15, 8:00 AM – 8:00PM
Wednesday & Thursday, January 16, & 17, 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
