A top priority of the Information Technologies department is to keep you informed regarding our current projects and initiatives. As both technologies and the needs of our institution change, DoIT will work diligently to meet those needs by providing up-to-date systems, hardware, software, and infrastructure.
Current Projects:
IT Scorecard
Every other week we publish an IT Scorecard with updates on IT projects, budget, staffing, and other relevant information of interest to the university community.
Oracle Application Server Upgrades
The Oracle Application server upgrades are now scheduled to occur Thursday, May 17. The upgrade should be transparent to users; however, there are several things you should know.
Computer Refresh
We will be refreshing computers this summer in classrooms and labs and for faculty and staff. These are computers that were identified as primary machines for faculty/staff or classroom and lab computers requiring upgrade and are being refreshed based on age and funding availability.
KACE
Information Technologies has purchased a product from Dell called KACE. KACE provides tools to IT Support Services to better manage our computing environment. It will allow us to be more proactive in our maintenance of the computing environment and increase overall support for our users. Once fully implemented, KACE will provide us with enhanced capabilities for desktop support, software distribution and upgrades, security patching, and much more.
