Import a PST File

  1. Click File, then select Import and Export.
  2. The Import and Export Wizard window will display.  Select Import from another program or file, then click Next.
  3. From the Import a File window, select Personal Folder File, then click Next.
  4. Browse to the location where the PST file was saved previously.  Click the option to indicate the desired action regarding duplicate items, then click Next.
  5. When the Personal Folder File was created, it is probable that data was saved from multiple Outlook folders into multiple personal folders.  Indicate the folder within the Personal Folders File from which you want to copy the data. Click Include subfolders to assure that data within any subfolders are also retrieved.  Also, you will most likely want to copy the items into the same folder from which they were backed up; if so, click Import items into the same folder in, then select your name.

Careful! Since you are replacing data, double-check your entries to assure that you are copying into the correct folder.

After all entries have been made and checked, click Finish.

Data previously saved into Personal File Folders will be imported into the designated folder.
