Import Contacts from Excel

  1. Click File, then click Import and Export.
  2. The Import and Export Wizard window will display.  Select Import from another program or file, then click Next.
  3. From the listing of import file types, click Microsoft Excel 97-2003, then click Next.
  4. Select the destination folder.  Since you are importing contacts that you previously saved to an Excel file, click Contacts, then click Next.
  5. Browse to select the Excel file you wish to import into the Contacts folder.  Click the option to indicate the desired action regarding duplicate items, then click Next.
  6. Select Contacts as the destination folder, then click Next.
  7. You will be prompted to confirm the import.  Check the box beside the Import action, then click Finish.
  8. The Contacts previously saved to the Excel file will be inserted into the Outlook Contacts folder.
