Insert or Import a Chart

At times, it is best to present information with a chart or graph. You can create a chart by using the Insert Chart feature in Word, or by inserting a chart created with Microsoft® Excel

To Insert a Chart in word:

  1. Click where you want to insert the chart.
  2. Go to the Insert Tab.
  3. Select Chart from the Illustrations Group.
  4. Choose the Chart Type and click on OK .

  5. Excel will open in a split screen with Word on the left. Change the information on the Excel datasheet by replacing the existing data with your data.

  6. Make the changes as appropriate (chart type, chart options, fonts, etc.) by choosing the appropriate tools under the Design Tab or Layout Tab on the Chart Tools section.
