Microsoft® Word provides a number of optional settings to change the appearance of a printed page (change margins, adjust orientation, add headers and footers and modify other features). Before a document is printed, you should always ensure that the page is set up correctly to save paper and time.
To change the page setup:
- Select the Page Layout tab.

- Make the appropriate changes. In the Page Setup group, you may change the:
Margins – set the margins of the document.
Orientation – set the page to be portrait or landscape
Size – determine the size of the paper
