Edit an Illustration

To change the size of an illustration/object:

  1. Click on the object you wish to resize.

  2. Move your mouse over one of the grab bars in one of the corners until the double-sided arrow appear, then hold and drag to the size you desire. It is important to use the bars in the corners. Using the bars on the top, bottom, or sides will distort the picture.

  3. To move the object to another location on the page:
    • Select the object you wish to move.
    • Slide your mouse over the object until you see the four-sided handle and then drag the object to where you want it.

  4. To delete the object, click on the object and then press the Delete key.
  5. To make more extensive changes to the object:
    • Right-click the object. A menu will appear.
    • Click on Format Shape/Picture/SmartArt/ClipArt.

    • The Format dialog box will appear. You can change the color of the object, add 3-D dimension to the object and more… Make your selections and then click close on the dialog box.
    • The object now has a new fill color, a new line color, and a shadow.
