Entering Text

On the Insert Tab in the Text Group you will see a variety of icons for entering text.

To enter straight text, click on the text box icon Place the cursor on the slide where you want the text to appear.  PowerPoint returns to the Home Tab so you can select the font, size, color and other text attributes you want to apply.  After you have made those selections, start typing in the text box PowerPoint provided.  When you have finished typing, click outside the box.  To make corrections or to add more text, place the cursor inside the box where you want to work and click. When finished, click outside the box.

Another way to change the size, color, or alignment of your text is to right-click inside the text box and the mini- toolbar will appear. You can make the changes right on the mini-toolbar.
