Editing Formulas

To edit a formula:

1. Select the cell that contains the formula that you want to edit.
2. Click on the formula bar to place the cursor inside the formula. (The advantage to placing the cursor in the bar is you can edit various parts of the formula without recreating the entire formula.)
3. In the formula bar make changes to the formula.
4. Press ENTER.
   

EXCEL EXTRAS

Did you know that Excel can edit formulas for you? If Excel encounters a problem with a formula that was entered, it will display a dialog box asking you if you would like it corrected. You will have the option to accept a suggestion for correction, or you can change it manually.
