Set or Clear the Print Area

Setting a print area defines the print area to your specifications. You can include or exclude rows and columns to be printed. Clearing a print area resets any print region that was created by setting the print area.

To set a print area:

  1.  Highlight the area to print.
  2.  On the Page Layout tab in the Page Setup group, click on the Print Area icon.
  3.  Select Set Print Area.
  4.  Dashed lines will appear on the worksheet showing the print area.

 To clear the print area:

  1. Highlight the area to print.
  2. On the Page Layout tab in the Page Setup group, click on the Print Area icon.
  3. Choose Clear Print Area.
