Insert a Worksheet

To insert a new worksheet into an existing workbook:

  1. Click on the worksheet where you want to place the new worksheet. (The new sheet will precede the worksheet that is on the screen.)
  2. Go to the Home Tab/Cells Group/Insert Drop Down Menu.
  3. Choose Insert Sheet.

    The new worksheet has been inserted before the one we had originally selected.

Tip: Right-Click on the worksheet where you want to place the new worksheet. Select Insert. Select Worksheet.

Delete a Worksheet

To delete worksheets from a book:
Note: Use caution – Deleting a worksheet is a permanent action that cannot be undone.

  1. Select the worksheet for the sheet that will be deleted.
  2. Go to the Home Tab/Cells Group/Delete Drop Down Menu.
  3. Choose Delete Sheet.
  4. Click the Delete button.

The selected worksheet has been removed from the workbook.

Tip: Right click on the sheet you want to delete and click on Delete.
