Using the Elements Gallery

The elements gallery puts the more commonly used design and formatting features at your fingertips.  It is located under the Standard toolbar in Powerpoint.  The different areas of the Elements Gallery include:

1. Tabs: show the names of different design and formatting features.  Each tab contains groups.
2. Groups: contain specific categories of elements.  Such as the Charts tab which has a Bar Groups option.  Within the Bar group there are many different Bar chart styles to choose from.
3. Left pane: the name of the element style appears in the left pane.  In order to see a style name, rest the pointer on a thumbnail.  Styles are listed alphabetically.
4. More Groups button: some of the tabs contain more groups that can be shown at one time.  Click to see more options.
5. Scroll Arrow: To see more element styles, click the scroll arrow.
