Change Column Width

Use the Cursor Point to resize a column:

  • Place the mouse on the right edge of the column heading. (For example, if you want to widen column B, place your mouse on the right edge of the B.) The cursor changes into a vertical line with arrows pointing to the left and right.
  • Drag that border to the right to make the column wider or to the left to make it narrower.

EXCEL EXTRAS

  • Double-clicking on the right border of the column header makes the column fit the contents; this is called AutoFit.
