Create a New Contact

Add a contact

You can use the Address Book to manage both professional and personal information for all contacts. After a contact is in your address book, you can use it across Entourage. For example, you can send an e-mail message or an event invitation without having to remember the person’s e-mail address.

  1. Click Address Book, and then click New.
  2. Type information for the contact. At a minimum, include the contact’s name and e-mail address.

Tip: To include additional information, click More.
  3. Close the Create Contact dialog box.
  4. Notice that the contact appears in your address book.

Add a picture to a contact

Adding a picture to a contact is one way to customize your address book. Once you add a picture to a contact, all e-mail messages that you receive from that person will include the picture.

Note: To complete this procedure, you have to have a picture to associate with the contact. If you don’t have a picture, you can skip this procedure.

  1. In the Contacts list, double-click the contact that you created in the last procedure.
  2. Click the Personal tab.
  3. In the Finder, browse through your pictures to find the picture that you want to add.
  4. Drag the picture to the image box.

Tip: To remove the picture, drag the picture from the image box to the Trash.
  5. Close the Contacts dialog box, and then click Save.
  6. Notice that the contact’s picture appears in the contact header.
