Calendar Functions (Entourage)

By using the Calendar feature in Entourage, you can create a schedule of new and/or recurring events. An event is any item, such as an appointment or a meeting, that you want to place at a specified time in your calendar.

The Calendar feature allows you to schedule events with multiple people. The person sending out invitations to the event is referred to as the Organizer. The Organizer uses Entourage to invite people to an event by e-mailing the event invitation to the invited attendees. When the invitation is mailed, a tentative appointment will appear on the Calendar for each invitee. The recipients have the option of accepting or rejecting the invitation. If an invitee accepts the invitation, Entourage will automatically mark the time as busy on his or her Calendar.

Flags allow you to mark items that you need to revisit at a later time. For example, if you receive an e-mail that you can’t respond to right away, you can flag it, so that it stands out from the list of other e-mails in your Inbox. You can also flag tasks and contacts.

The options on the right provide instructions for using Calendar features in Entourage.
