Macintosh users may use MacMail or Entourage to check their LIVE@EDU email. Instructions for these programs are found below:
Using MacMail
- Launch Mail from the dock.

- In the File menu, select Add Account.

- The New Account window will display. Enter a name for the mail profile that you are creating, then click OK. It is suggested that you provide a profile name that will indicate that this is a Live@EDU profile. Click Continue. Add your name, and your Live@EDU email address.

- Specify the information for your Incoming Mail Server.

- If you are asked to specify the Incoming Mail Security panel, make sure that Use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is selected. For Authentication, select Password. Then click Continue.

- The Outgoing Mail Server panel will display. For Outgoing Mail Server, enter “smtp.exchangelabs.com.” Make sure Use Authentication is selected. For Authentication, select Password. Enter your NetID and password. Then click Continue.

- The Account Summary window will display. Click Continue to finish.

- The Conclusion will display. Click on Done.

You have now configured Mac Mail to work as your Live@EDU mail client.
Set up Entourage for POP3 or IMAP4 access to Exchange Labs
- On the Entourage toolbar, click Tools then Accounts.

- From the New drop down menu, select Mail.

- Note: If the Account Setup Assistant window appears, click the Configure Account Manually button.

- In the New Account window, select POP or IMAP as the Account Type.

- Click OK and the Edit Account windows will appear.
In this window, provide an Account name (e.g. Exchange Labs e-mail).In the same window, under Personal information.Enter in the name that you wish people see when you send an e-mail.In E-mail address, type your full Exchange Labs e-mail address (username@mail.umw.edu).
Under Receiving mail:
Next to Account ID, again enter your full Exchange Labs e-mail address.
By IMAP server, type imap.exchangelabs.com.
Note: If you’re using POP3, by POP3 server enter pop.exchangelabs.com.
Enter your password in the Password blank.
If you’d like your password saved, check the Save password box in my Mac OS keychain. - Click Click here for advanced receiving options, a window will pop up. Check the box next to This IMAP service requires a secure connection (SSL). Click the close box in the upper-left corner.

- Back in the Edit Account window, under Sending mail, enter smtp.exchangelabs.com in the SMTP server box.
Click Click here for advanced sending options, a window will pop up. In this window,
Check the SMTP service requires secure connection (SSL) box.
Check the SMTP server requires authentication box.
Select the Use same settings as receiving mailer option.
Click close box.

- Click OK in the Edit Accounts window.
