Banner forms are identified through a seven-character naming convention which describes the form, report, job, or table (see Appendix J for more information). This naming convention is explained below, starting with the character position, its corresponding meaning, and examples.
The first character indicates the primary Banner System.
(A – Advancement; F – Finance; G – General; S – Student)
The second character identifies the module.
(J – Job Submission; L – Letter Generation)
The third character identifies the type of form or report.
(A – Application; B – Base Table; I – Inquiry Form)
The last four characters identify the form, report, or job.
(…DESG – Designation, …IDEN – Identity, …PERS – Person)
