Yes–the Help Desk is a University-wide technology support center. People at the Stafford Campus are encouraged to call the Help Desk if there are any technical or computer-related problems. If necessary, the Help Desk can dispatch one of the IT personnel stationed on the Stafford campus to assist you.
Even though you may be tempted to consult with a technician yourself personally, calling the Help Desk first ensures that your problem is entered into our system and a record is kept. Also, the Help Desk may have information that the on-site technician does not. This process not only helps us to assess the more common problems and assist, where necessary, in devising system-wide ways of handling them, but also helps to get you the most efficient remedy for your problem.
