Brief Wireless Downtime Monday @ 4:30

Update:  9/28/15 – 10:30 AM

IT staff has scheduled some brief wireless downtime TODAY, Monday, 9/28/15 from 4:30 to 5:00 PM.  UMW and UMW-Guest wireless networks will be down, UMW-Secured remains unavailable and Apogee will be unaffected.

Update:  9/11/15 – 9:30 AM

IT staff continues to work the issues with the UMW, UMW-Guest and UMW-Secured wireless networks.  The problem has been isolated to an issue with authentication.

As wireless is important to the university community, we have temporarily suspended the login requirement to access the UMW or UMW-Guest networks, for internet access only. At this time, you can connect to and use these two wireless networks without logging in. Once the issues are resolved, the login requirements will be returned to the UMW and UMW-Guest networks.

UMW-Secured wireless remains unavailable.  If you need to access a resource using UMW-Secured, you will need to instead use a wired connection.

The Apogee wireless network continues to be available to students with Apogee accounts in UMW academic and administrative buildings with the usual login process for that network.
