VPN for Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7

INSTALLING AND CONFIGURING CISCO VPN CLIENT

UMW uses the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client.

• Go to https://vpn1.umw.edu. NOTE: This only works if you are off-campus.
• Sign in enter your UMW NetID and Active Directory password;
• The AnyConnect VPN Client will attempt to install and connect.

If the install fails, select download and install manually:

1. Add https://*.umw.edu to your trusted sites:
   • Open Internet Explorer and choose Tools > Internet Options.
   • Click the Security tab.
   • Click the Trusted Sites icon, then click the Sites button below.
   • Type https://*.umw.edu.
   • Click Add.
   • Click OK.
   • Click OK on the Security tab.
2. You will need to enter your UMW NetID and Active Directory password and click OK.
   
3. The AnyConnect installer will start automatically
   

• The VPN client will launch and connect automatically.
  

• Once the connection is established the webpage  can be closed and the VPN connection controlled from the installed client.
