Connecting to the Secured Network – Vista

Suggestion: Print these instructions before you attempt to configure your system.

Note:

• May require multiple login attempts.

1. Click Start.
2. Open the Control Panel.
3. Under the Network and Sharing Center, click Disconnect from UMW-Guest.
4. Under Manage Wireless Networks, click Remove UMW-Guest.
5. Click Add.
6. Select Manually Create a Network Profile.
7. Enter the network information:
   • Network Name: UMW-Secured
   • Security Type: WPA2-Enterprise
   • Encryption Type: AES
   • Check both boxes: ☑ Connect Automatically & ☑ Connect When Not Broadcasting
8. Close Successfully Added Window.
9. Right click UMW-Secured in the Manage Wireless Networks window.
10. Click Properties.
11. Click the Security Tab.
12. Uncheck the Cache User Information box.
13. Select  Protected EAP from the list.
14. Click Settings Button.
15. Uncheck the Validate Server Box.
16. Click Configure.
17. Uncheck the Automatically use my Winders logon Box.
18. Click OK 3 times.
19. Click the Additional Information is Required pop up.
20. Enter NetID for the Username, your EagleNet password for Password, and UMW for the domain.
